Last semester, our inspiration for spreading the name of Delta Phi Omega was "A Whole New World." The Disney movie Aladdin carried the spirit of childhood and that's what we wanted. When we think of childhood, most of us reminisce playgrounds, toys, and friends. We may even think of how our imagination soared when we our teachers or parents read us stories.
No matter what our pasts were like, we're here today with all that we've learned till today. Our education gives us a leg up on this world of opportunities. This is why child literacy is important. And this is why Delta Phi Omega strives to help children who do not have the benefit of education. Through organizations such as Pratham, CARE, and Asha for Education, our goal is to make an impact and give those children a childhood they will look back at with appreciation.
